Bring the whole family to experience the energy and color of the largest Native American gathering in Georgia at the Native American Festival and Pow Wow! The event showcases Native American culture through dance, music, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking traditions, storytelling, wildlife presentations and so much more!
Held at Stone Mountain Park’s Historic Square, this annual festival invites you to explore the central role of dance in native culture as Native Americans from across the U.S. and Central America compete in intertribal dance and drum competitions. Learn about the traditional practices and skills such flint-knapping, bow making, fire starting, open fire cooking, and pottery, and even crawl inside a tipi and other native dwellings to get an up close and personal look at traditional Native American life. Parents and children can participate in interactive presentations like an encampment showing the lifestyle of local and regional historic Native American cultures, and be sure to see all the one-of-a-kind gifts on display at the artists’ marketplace. It’s a spectacular celebration that you won’t want to miss!
